Position Description

 

This is a Business Consultant position, focused on Installation and Support of software products and services to clients in Oakville and the GTA.

 

Responsibilities

 

Achieving a minimum performance of becoming a Certified Accpac Business Consultant, within 3 months.  (training supplied)

Accurately forecast and maintain consulting schedule.

Identifying business requirements and identify possible solutions.

Managing the installation project plan and all updates,

Gaining competence in discussing, presenting, and demonstrating the product offerings that you will be supporting.

Training Clients on products assigned.

Staying current on all new product enhancements.

Gaining competitive knowledge so as to know how to position our products to enhance our clients business.

Continuing to hone your skills by participating in all training programs offered here, plus your own independent reading and class attendance

Representing the company in a positive and professional manner

Making sure that your customers are all completely reference-able, or taking the appropriate steps to correct any open issues

Custom interfaces

Maintaining accurate and timely data in our internal data base

 

Requirements

 

Ability to travel an anticipated 65% of the time

Ability to meet / support clients before and after normal work hours

Ability with structured database development using VB,VB Net, Visual studio and SQL server

Ability to attend off site meetings and training classes occasionally, the longest likely being 7 days or less in length

Ability to understand the our prospects’ business issues, and how to relate the solutions we provide to map with their needs

Ability to grasp the software solutions we market, and to articulate them to the prospect, i.e. good written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work as a productive and effective member of our organization

Ability to persevere when faced with delays and other disappointments

Ability to learn and use our internal data processing systems

 

Compensation

 

Per the compensation plan for this position, this will include a base, car allowance and commission.
